We were given a list of installers from Amazon Stone. After calling all of them we decided to go with Randy due to the competitive price, as well as his ability to install in our time frame. It was really easy! We picked out our stone, Randy purchased it (and was able to get a better price), one of his guys came and measured, and then they came back a few days later and installed it. It looks AMAZING and we love it. When we redo our bathroom, we will have them back install our countertops there as well. Randy was very responsive via phone calls and email.

My only suggestion to the company would be to provide a “handout” in person or on the website about how best to care for your granite, including more information about the sealer that they apply. For granite newbies, this information written down somewhere would be very helpful.

I was referred to Amazonia via Amazon Stone. I had already been to every slab shop in town, at least three times, and had already gotten several bids, including bids for quartz countertops. We selected Amazonia and couldn’t be more pleased.

We are owner-builders and have hired every last contractor to build a custom home. Why did we select Amazonia over the many other options we’d already considered, because Randy Jacobs seemed like the real deal, responsive, communicative, concerned with delivering a quality product and service and committed to his business. His price for installation was very fair. We ended up purchasing Indian Premium Granite through Arizona Tile under the contractor rate given to Amazonia, about $10.82 / S.F. versus the $12 / S.F. I was quoted on my own. Randy made the purchase directly from Arizona Tile after I selected the slabs and placed a deposit. Amazonia paid for the slabs in full upon pick-up, and, upon my request, Arizona Tile emailed me a signed Unconditional Waiver Release Form. This way, I was assured the slabs had indeed been paid for before I gave a final payment to Amazonia.

In our case, the Indian Premium slabs at Arizona Tile were the best quality for the price, and the best size for our project, such that we were not over purchasing too much material. As I knew we’d have some left over, I asked for a second quote to add a bathroom vanity and dresser top to the order and these were very reasonably priced by Amazonia.

We signed a contract. Randy was willing to sign a contract we drafted, which was slightly beefier than the quote and terms sheet style contract he supplied. We made the Amazonia quote and terms sheet an addendum to the Contract.

Antonio came to make the templates. He was diligent and friendly, smart, careful, a good communicator and focused on quality results. We discussed the desire to minimize seams and that ideally we would prefer no seam in the corner of the kitchen countertop. I myself had mocked up a layout in Photoshop to see if this would be possible and I couldn’t make the layout work without a corner seam – but Antonio and his crew did make it work. He said he would call to discuss other options if he couldn’t make a seamless corner. He never called, because he made it work!! That detail makes a huge difference. There is one seam in our entire project, at the kitchen sink, that’s all. The buffet is a full 10′ long, no seams. Really nice. The slab measured 121″ wide.

Hiring any contractor is a lot of work — too much frankly — but that is the nature of the beast. It’s a breath of fresh air when you land an excellent contractor. This is especially critical when the job is finish work that you will look at and live with for the rest of time.

Tip: When hiring any contracor, learn to use the San Diego Tax Asessors Public Record database called the Grantee/Grantor database. Type this into google for a link. You can search on business names and private parties to get a picture of their public record history. Seach on last name first for private parties. If a person or company has a lot a negative public records – tax liens, mechanics liens, law suits, etc., you might want to stay away. The on-line database will show you the name, date and type of record. If you want to see the actual paperwork you need to visit the courthouse and use their computer system, it’s free and available to the public, in fact, that’s the whole point of Public Records. Along with the CSLB databse, which tells you whether someone is a bonafide contractor with a current license, etc., the Grantee/Grantor database gives a great picture of how cleanly someone runs their business and their personal life.

As a general contractor for 30years, I have seen a lot of subcontractors come and go. Over the last 3 years, I have used Amazonia on over 30 jobs. Their quality-price-execution put them at the top of their trade. There is no one in this market that comes close. They have become a solid member of my team. I would recommend them without reservation to homeowners and contractors alike.

Thankfully I trusted the reviews here and contacted Randy for a quote for our bath floor and kitchen backsplash. I emailed him photos with the designs we want and he has responded, right away, with prices and suggestions. We had an excellent, careful work, and great friendly service! If you are looking for a quick and easy solution to update your kitchen or bath, I highly recommend Randy.

The do great work and have much better prices and selection than Home Depot. Plenty of experience here. They’ve been doing this for a long time unlike some of the other fly by night low cost granite businesses out there. If you are looking for counters or stone flooring you should definitely check out Amazonia.

We used Amazonia for granite countertops in our kitchen and three bathrooms. We did our project almost ten years ago and, still, the countertops are beautiful and the installation still looks every bit as good as it did the day they were put in.

We would use Randy and Amazonia again without a question. His prices are fair, the quality of his work is excellent, and the professionalism of everyone who entered our home was second-to-none.

I had a new range delivered on a Friday that did not fit the 30″ opening. I called on the same day Amazonia. Told them the situation that I had a group of 8 out of town family coming and they came in Monday and within one hour was able to fix my Silestone countertop to fit the range. Courteous – absolutely no mess – efficient.

When I am ready to add any granite to my existing kitchen or baths , this is the company I will call!

I love the granite Amazonia recently installed in my kitchen. Everything about the job went well.

I had a hard time finding a company that had positive feedback that would make the drive to my house in El Centro.

Finally, a salesman at Arizona Tile in San Diego told me about Amazonia and when I found there was a lot of positive feedback for the company, I called Randy, Amazonia’s president. He said they would be happy to come out to the Imperial Valley. As soon as I spoke with him, I knew Amazonia was the perfect company to work with. He is knowledgeable, professional and clearly wants to please. Since I had specific things in mind, I really liked talking directly with the person who would make them happen, rather than some salesperson go-between.

Randy was prompt in getting a quote to me and was able to get the Kohler cast iron sink I wanted for less cost than I could get it elsewhere. He gave me a good design idea and was supportive when it seemed the sink was going to take awhile to arrive. I really appreciate this!

Then the sink came in quicker than predicted, and the process went quickly and smoothly. Two guys came out to my house to measure and make templates. The next week, a team of three guys arrived, removed the old tile countertop, and installed the granite and sink in one day. They even did some fitting on the spot. There was no mess involved. They cleaned up everything.

I have a large island that I wanted a slight curve on one side, which came out beautifully. It is absolutely perfect. Then there is a fairly long L-shaped counter with full backsplash. The only seam is in the continuous, long backsplash behind the stove. It is well concealed by the patterning in the granite. The upgrade edging is gorgeous.

Because of the distance involved, I didn’t ask to see the templates on the granite before it was cut, and trusted Randy and his team’s judgment. They know what they are doing, without a doubt. The placement of the granite patterning is perfect, just what I was hoping for. The balance of the flow of pattern along the counter and backsplash is masterful.

As a bonus, I was given a good-sized leftover piece of the granite to use for some other project.

I look forward to calling Amazonia when I’m ready to replace my bathroom counters with stone.

Randy and his team really delivered on our marble countertops. He had actually done my mom’s marble in La Jolla a few years and remembered her and gave me the same deal as a repeat customer…We were at the tail end of a remodel so it was a ton of moving pieces to coordinate, different contractors in and out, etc. but he accomodated our schedule and helped us track down additional slabs of the exact slab we loved – coordinating with Arizona Tile on our behalf. I was a little nervous that we didn’t see 2 of the 3 slabs until they were brought for installation but I was right to trust him, he said they would go perfectly with the other 1 and they did! They fabricated a large kitchen countertop and 3 bathroom countertops in about a week and rushed to install to get it done before my hardwood floor guy was scheduled to start on the kitchen floors. It was such a relief to have them in and we absolutely love them!! The only small issue we had was the farmhouse sink was just a little crooked and I felt kind of high maintenance even bringing it up but Randy sent his guys back to re-caulk it and straighten it out – perfect! His rates were really competetive too, I didn’t shop around as I had always planned to use him but when we shopped for kitchen cabinets those cos. priced it out as part of the design and it was literally double or triple the cost of working with Randy. If I ever go through another remodel (dear god I hope not) I will always go back to Amazonia for my countertops…

I have been working with Randy and his talented installation crews from Amazonia for nearly 3 years, during which time I have flipped 160 homes. They have performed countless kitchen remodels for me. I use Amazonia exclusively because their prices can’t be beat and their service is the best.

Done work with Randy at more than one house including a 13,000+ sq. ft. Rancho Santa Fe remodel with 7 bathrooms, and 4 kitchens. Very good to work with, and more than competitive.

Referred several other friends & family, all happy, and would gladly hire him again

Amazonia is great. Randy and his team worked on Saturday to accomodate the cabinet company’s schedule. His team, lead by Alfredo, did a fantastic demo job of my old, white tile. I would also like to mention that they cleaned up all the mess and hauled away the demolished tile. Randy negotiated a better price for the granite from the slab yard and his team installed it the following Saturday. The end result is an absolutely beautiful granite countertop. I would definitely use Randy and his team again.

All I can say is wow! Randy was one of the most accommodating and professional contractors I have dealt with on my kitchen remodel. My job was not “basic” by any means and his installer Antonio is an artist. Curved bar top, flush mounted cooktop… all of it was awesome… I would highly recommend Amazonia to everyone!!!

We were in a kitchen remodel the only thing really left were the counter tops we were referred to Amazonia from my wife’s friend they did a job for her and she loved the job they did and we can see why. They installed our Granite counter tops and did an awesome job they handled everything from transport to installation all we did was pick out the color we wanted from Arizona Tile thats it. They were also able to cut the counter tops so there would be no seams at all no 1 else that we got estimates from ,and we did get a few other quotes but no 1 else could guarantee us that what we were asking could be done until we talked to Amazonia Randy Jacobs the owner had no problem with what we were asking for. They did an awesome job the counter tops came out perfect. One of the most important aspects of the job is price also I thought it was going to be just over the top but I couldn’t have been more wrong the estimate was on pair with all the other one’s we got but there confidence that they would have no problems about what we wanted was way over pair . We highly recommend them they are awesome Thank You again Amazonia. Shawn

Amazonia it is! If you are serious in getting a new countertop for your kitchen and/or bath on a great deal plus beautiful granite, this is THE place. I went to Amazonia on a Saturday, selected my granite color, signed the 1 page agreement with Randy, on the following Thursday (as this is a day I am free), plumber removed old faucet, installers removed old countertop on my bath and kitchen, installed my granite, and plumber came back to reinstall new faucet! I loved my countertop and it is so easy and trouble-free with Randy!

Randy’s installers were on time, cleaned meticulously my place and were detail oriented. Randy is a cool guy to deal with and provides excellent customer service!

Please consider Amazonia for your granite countertop needs. You will not be disappointed.

It is not the first time when we were doing remodeling, so I knew what to expect. We met with Randy to discuss all details. He bought us with a price and saying that they will finish the job within one week. However, I was ready that the process takes at least two weeks (from our previous experience). We decided to remodel our bathroom again but this time with a decorative tile splashes floor and shower walls. How surprised we were when they finished it in four days!!! I also, want to mention the high quality of product and service they have. They were very friendly and careful, came always on time and clean after themselves. Thank you Randy and your crew for such an amazing job! Our bathroom is a masterpiece with these tile and quality of its installation!

We were referred to Randy by a neighbor who remodeled with him. We were given a very competitive quotation and most importantly, as first time home buyers/ remodelers and cynical of contractors …he returned all phone calls very promptly and doesn’t leave you hanging like a lot of installers. His crew was also very delicate in our kitchen and cleaned up like pro’s . A+++ Highly recommended

I only wish I did this sooner ! This was the first time I ever remodeled so I was a little nervous. I was only looking for granite counter tops in the kitchen so this was not really a big job. Randy was very reassuring he could get everything done in the time frame I needed. His crew was professional and quick, the whole process took a week.
I was happy with Randy’s responsiveness and will definitely be using them again …. Thanks Amazonia !!!

Randy and his excellent staff will not disappoint you from the time you start discussing material purchases through fabrication, measuring, and the professional installation. The install team under the direction of Antonio and Paulo arrived on time; had all the tools required which included on-site fabrication; insured the meticulous placement of appliances; provided spotless clean-up ; and they finished up by sealing everything. The only thing we can say that at the end of the day our countertops looked fabulous.

Randy and his crew are AWESOME. We found out about Amazonia at the Home Show in Del Mar – emailed Randy with measurements we had drawn up – got a ball park estimate and went to work finding a granite slab we loved. Once we found the perfect slab the project started – start to finish in a week (measurement to install). Antonio and his guys were professional and know their craft – they tore out our old countertop, made the templates and we met him at Amazon Stone to place the templates exactly where we wanted them as the granite had awesome movement in it and we wanted to showcase certain areas. I cannot thank them enough for a great job – we are totally pleased and are looking forward to doing a bathroom with the leftover part of the slab. Frank and Pam

The team, led by Alfredo, did a great job with the install even working till 8 pm on a Friday night. I would definitely recommend Amazonia tile to anyone. Thanks again Amazonia!!!

I would like to take a moment to tell everyone that Amazonia did such a wonderful job for my granite countertop, big island and full granite back splash.

First of all, I had at least 5 quotes before Amazonia. Some of them only do installation not fabrication, others price are not competitive with Randy’s offer. I like his offer including undermount sink cut, outlet cut, cocktop cut, 15 years sealer, even very nice edging detail. On top of that, they made a nice curvy design on one side of my big island, free of charge. And all other companies has extra charge on it. Randy also saved me money by ordering the slabs I like and picked them up from Anheim for me.

I had a bit worry about in the beginning that Amazonia can perform or not, after checking his website, and view the beautiful back slash design, I have confidence that they are deliver the end result. More interestingly, when I was mentioning I was hiring Amazonia to my very trusty friend, she gave high praise for what they have done for her five bathrooms too.

I can not say enough how much I like my backslash and island design. I have picked a wavy pattern of granite and hope it will look like a painting since it is the center of the kitchen. And they did great job to make it like one big picture even it is assembled in three pieces.

The workers are very friendly too, they have 20+ years experience.

Above of all, I want to thank Randy to take extra effort to meet my tight schedule and go above and beyond to make customer 100% happy.:) He is someone you can trust to make things right.

We were looking at a slab yard in Miramar and were introduced to Randy as someone that could help us out. We were still in escrow but knew just about what we wanted when we closed on our new place. We closed a short time later and started remodeling. Once our new cabinets were in we gave Randy a shout. He was prompt and professional and sure he could help us. A few days later his crew showed up to map out our kitchen, then returned as promised 5 days later with the slab we wanted, cut and finished just right for our kitchen. His crew was again very professional and were able to get our sinks in and level in no time.
On another note… The home depot in Mira Mesa is terrible… Why do I bring this up? Our special order sinks that got delivered were incorrect… And when they came to pick them up they just cancelled our whole order… Which meant we needed bathroom countertops as well… I shot Randy an email and again had them out within a day and counters within a week. Luckily we had just enough of our slab leftover for both of our baths. With the headaches of moving into our first place, Randy and his crew at Amazonia really delivered a great experience and delivered a wonderful service. We highly recommend these guys if you are looking for a great work, fair prices, professionalism, and want to look at your stone every day and knowing you made the right choice.

We were referred to Amazonia by Amazon Stone. I called Randy and he returned the call promptly. We met with him, told him we needed it installed ASAP as we were leaving in 4 days. Amazonia installed our granite countertops yesterday. They are fabulous! I researched various options and decided to check out Amazon Stones on Miramar. They (Rafaela) were very helpful and courteous. There I received two more possible names for granite installation in my kitchen. I called both but decided to go with Amazonia. Randy Jacobs, the owner, was quickly available, professional, and a quick calculator for all my needs. I told him my granite choice at Amazon Stones and he took care of the rest. I am happy with the cost, the product, and the great crew that did all the work in my home. They took into consideration my questions, did beautiful work, and cleaned up neatly. Even my husband loves it!
